It also allows you to transfer from one account to another, or move money from a savings account to a checking account.  It's safe, convenient and allows you greater control of payments, cash flow and payroll, Cash Management Online lets you process ACH Origination (Automated Clearing House).

With customer approval, you can electronically transfer dues or payments directly from your customer's account. You can get your money faster, while minimizing collection efforts later.

ACH Origination also means you can easily manage your payroll for Direct Deposit. You can save time and money on check processing, prevent loss or theft of payroll checks, and coordinate multiple locations without worrying about time issues or missed deliveries.

It's official.

A final rule, handed down by the IRS, requiring employers that currently pay taxes with a Federal Tax Deposit (FTD) coupon must transition to an electronic payment method.  Do to this ruling The Claxton Bank will not be able accept any TT&L payments after December 28, 2010.  If you have not registered electronically, please do so by clicking above.

Who can use EFTPS?

Businesses, individuals, federal agencies, tax professionals, payroll services, and financial institutions.

How does EFTPS work?

With EFTPS, you simply make payments whenever you want, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can enter payment instructions up to 120 days in advance for businesses and 365 days for individuals. Payments must be scheduled at least one calendar day prior to the tax due date by 8:00 p.m. ET. Your payment instruction will be executed on the date you selected, and your records will be updated at the IRS.

Is there a cost to use EFTPS?

No, there is no cost for using EFTPS if you schedule the payment yourself via this site or by phone.

What information can I edit online?

You can edit your contact information or add a new enrollment to change your financial institution information.

Why should I use EFTPS?

It's fast. You can make a tax payment in minutes. It's accurate. You can review your information before it is sent. It's convenient.You can make a payment from anywhere there's a phone or Internet connection 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It's easy to use. If I want to use EFTPS by both phone and online, do I have to enroll in each separately?

No. EFTPS payment methods are interchangeable.

How long does it take to complete the enrollment process?

Your PIN and instructions on obtaining a password will be mailed separately to you within seven business days.

What if I cannot locate PIN?

What if I lose or forget my Internet password?

What if I use a payroll service or an accountant?

You may enroll in EFTPS even if a third party makes tax payments. Check with your provider to determine which taxes are being paid on your behalf. If you wish to make payments other than those being made by a third party, you need to complete an Additional Enrollment. For example, if your business is using a third party to make your payroll tax deposits and you wish to make your own 1120 corporate income tax payments through EFTPS, you would complete an additional enrollment under your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN).

A third party makes payments for me. Now I wish to dissolve the relationship and nullify the Third Party Authorization. What should I do?

Write "revoke" across your copy of the 9783T authorization form, provide a current signature, and send the form to the third party. Or, you can fax or mail the "revoked" 9783T form to EFTPS Customer Service.

If I use EFTPS, will the government have unlimited access to my checking account?

No. You initiate all your payments.
